Genevieve presented live shows on QVC for over 8 years until 2011 when she was asked to become a presenter for Ideal World TV where she has worked over the last 12 years and where she has presented, scripted, co-produced and formatted thousands of hours of live shows.
She has her own weekly fashion show, Friday Fashion, on Ideal World, which is one of the most watched and iconic shows on the channel. She also presents lifestyle shows on ITV and STV live.
Genevieve started her career in presenting and journalism in Ireland working for the national broadcaster RTE and presenting on the magazine panel show Midday for TV3.
She also studied fashion and design and combined this with her journalism to write numerous articles on fashion, beauty, lifestyle and entertainment for national magazines and newspapers, as well as interviews with designers and musicians such as Boy George, Lulu, John Rocha, Paul Costello, Kylie Minogue the late Vivienne Westwood.
You may have noticed by her accent that Genevieve is originally from Co. Cork. She kissed the Blarney Stone on a school trip and hasn't stopped chatting since. Her warmth, Irish charm and humour has given her the title of ‘The Jewel from the Emerald Isle’ and the female Graham Norton, (ironically her mother played the role of his mother for the Graham Norton show)
Over the last 18 years she has presented thousands of hours of live and recorded television, including reporting from red carpet events such as the BAFTAs and the Emmys where, her interviews with biggest names in the movie industry including George Clooney, Anthony Hopkins, Colin Firth, Richard E. Grant, and Viggo Mortensen, have been cast live globally. Her interview with Viggo almost made him late for the opening of the show.
As a reporter she regularly covers events such Help for Heroes London, Fashion Week and other red carpet events.
Genevieve has also worked as a stylist for TV and fashion editorials, she works with private high-profile clients, advising on styling and presentation.
During her time at Ideal World she was asked to design her own unique range of dresses for the channel, which then went on to sell out time and time again.
As well as working for Ideal World, Genevieve also presents corporate and training videos and works as a voice-over artist.
Genevieve’s energy, warmth and passion is a force to be reckoned with as she continues to set her sights higher in the world of Television and Entertainment.
